1. Sear the cubed bacon in a deep frying pan at average temperature. Stir for about 5 minutes in order not to burn.
  2. Add the onion and stew for about 3 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle with red pepper and add the tomatoes.
  4. Stir and let it simmer covered for about 10 minutes. 

  5. Boil the linguine in a large pot of salted water.
  6. Strain after removing from the water.
  7. Sprinkle the pasta with the basil, mix all ingredients and serve the Linguine Amatriciana with grated Parmigiano on top.
